The AGM is coming to a close

What an amazing few days. I sat in awe of the terrific work our Board members and committees have accomplished. The line up of speakers, entertainment, International countries that are joining the International Support Links Project, sponsorships.....

I cannot wait to tell you more in the coming days. We are wrapping up this morning and heading home. I feel satisfied exhaustion.

We Are in Hamilton

The Board of Directors are meeting in Hamilton this weekend for our AGM. I am going to teach the Board member how to tweet tonight. So go to our website at www.wcbcf.ca and click the 'Twitter' link. It will be interesting to see what everyone tweets about.

Going to Hamilton

Plans are being finalized for the World Conference on Breast Cancer Board meeting in Hamilton. We will be there to mark the 1 year count down to the conference.

Feeling STAR struck

We had a Board meeting on Monday. All of the committee leads gave updates on their progress. I cannot believe how much has already been done. This is all very exciting.

I can not leak too much but there have been some very interesting developments on the Medical advisory front. I also heard there are a few celebrities out there who are interested in what we are doing.

Can't wait to share. Schedules of the famous being what they are it may or may not work out. If it does and things are confirmed - I can give you hints to let you guess - or not.

Does this make me cool?

So I guess I really have gained some ‘cool’ factor as I am officially a blogger now (or at least according to my 12 year old). If I start wearing my glasses, my IQ will go up too – hmm.

As you see from my bio I am a breast cancer survivor and have taken my renewed passion for living to a volunteer post with the World Conference on Breast Cancer Foundation as one of 15 board members.

So what can you expect from this blog? You will see my quirky Canadian sense of humour, you will likely get to know my family a little and I will try to reflect what is going on behind the scenes as we plan the 6^th World Conference on Breast Cancer (without giving away all of the surprises). Any opinions expressed in this blog are entirely my own and do not necessarily reflect those of the Foundation or the Board (so I will try to behave myself).
